I have been teaching Spanish at WCS since 1979—the year the high school was added. Since then I have taught all levels from elementary to adult evening classes. Currently I am teaching Spanish III and honors, and Spanish IV and honors. I love teaching Spanish with stories. Students and I enjoy the creativity of stories and learn vocabulary, grammar, and culture by reading, hearing, and telling stories. In Spanish IV they continue on to read novels in Spanish. Of course we must read selections from Don Quijote! I also work with high school students in Student Academic Services. I recently completed a Masters Degree in Special Education at Bay Path University. I enjoy working with these students helping them be successful students.

It’s been great to teach so many students and also to hear stories of them traveling to and living in Spanish countries, and speaking Spanish after they graduated. Some former students have even gone on to be Spanish teachers! I also think it's great to teach the children of some of my first students. I'm glad they want to continue the legacy of Christian education with their own children.

I attend New England Chapel and am part of a home group there. In my free time I read, quilt, and golf. I am still a fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes, and now I am also a fan of my 6 grandchildren.
