Elementary Art Instructor
Serving WCS Since: 2011
I grew up as one of 5 children on the shoreline of Lake Hiawatha in Bellingham, MA, especially enjoying my time outside discovering the many facets of God’s amazing creation. Being a Girl Scout throughout my childhood nurtured my love for experiencing the blessings of nature as well as helping me to realize and develop my artistic and leadership abilities. I loved mentoring and teaching others so I volunteered as teacher’s aide all through High School. I took my interest in art and paired it with my interest in Education when I received my BA at the University of Lowell. As a young adult and new mother, my husband and I joined a neighborhood Bible Study which was a pivotal point in my life; from this point forward I began my journey walking with Christ as my personal Lord and Savior. Christ continues to guide me, transform me, and inform my decisions daily. Since that time I have worked in a variety of teaching capacities from a 10 year stint as a Christian Pre-School teacher, to Elementary Art teacher at Cornerstone Christian Academy for 5 years, and several periods of working in therapeutic roles with children and adults with developmental and physical challenges exploring art as a means of self-expression. God has so blessed me by granting me the opportunity to currently serve as the Elementary art teacher at WCS. When I am not teaching I am still outside enjoying God’s amazing creation, camera in hand, camping, hiking, and kayaking with my husband.
