After graduating from Trinity Christian College in 1993 with a BA in Elementary Education, minoring in Music and Special Education, I taught at Elim Christian School in Illinois. In 1995 I moved to Whitinsville with my husband Darrell to start our family. I have taught music to preschoolers for over 15 years as the owner of "Grace Notes" and more recently with Apple Tree Arts (ATA) of Grafton. In 2007 I directed the 6th Grade Chorus at WCS and in 2008 I began teaching general music to grades K-5. In addition to teaching music, I keep busy teaching private piano lessons and musical theater at ATA. After being a part of the Stepping Stone program for many years as the music teacher, I joined their team as a teacher aide in 2014 and then as a lead teacher in 2015. I consider it a privilege to witness the eagerness and enthusiasm of the preschool children as they wonder at and explore the beauty of God's creation, develop their ability to pray and praise God, and grow in the knowledge of His Story. I am also thrilled to work with students throughout their elementary years as the elementary music teacher. I want my students to love music because God loves music and has generously given this lifetime gift which we can enjoy ourselves, but more importantly give back to God and others.
