We are thrilled to introduce the Whitinsville Christian Strings Festival (WCSF), a one-week summer program that will be led by one of our alumni, Samuel Meade (WCS class of 2006).

Sam is currently completing his second master’s degree at Illinois State University, and is the director of Kentucky Christian String Camp. Sam has tremendous energy, is wholly dedicated to encouraging his students, and is unabashedly Christian in his approach to teaching music. He is sincerely grateful to WCS Strings for the impact the program and teachers have had on his life, and his desire is to have a similar impact on his students. To say he is excited to come back to WCS to lead this summer program is an understatement.

WCSF is July 15-19 (Monday -Friday) from 9:00am-2:45pm. It for students ages 5-18, from true beginners to the most advanced students. Festival faculty will include world-class teachers, performers, and strings pedagogues who share Sam’s passion for teaching.

Tuition is $250 per student. The daily schedule will include instrument classes (violin, viola, cello, bass), feature class (music theory, improvisation, drumline, voice and movement, and handbells), ensembles and orchestras, and a daily recital.
