Director of Advancement – The Director of Advancement represents a key leadership position within Whitinsville Christian School. The primary objectives of the Director of Advancement are to advance the brand of WCS, build strong relationships with all constituencies, and secure funds for operations, capital growth, and long-term financial viability. The Advancement Director oversees marketing and communications, alumni relations, fundraising, and admissions. The person in this position is responsible for the vision and long-term planning in each of these areas in order to reach goals established in conjunction with the Head of School and the Development Committee of the Board of Trustees. Qualified candidates will hold a bachelor’s degree and experience in development and fundraising. Director of Student Academic Services – This full-time position provides direction and leadership in the development, implementation, and coordination of the Student Academic Services Program at WCS. Qualified candidates will hold a degree in Special Education and have prior experience teaching and leading a team. The ideal candidate will have strong verbal and written communication skills, the ability to develop and maintain systems and processes pertaining to the SAS Department, and a knowledge of special education regulations and how they relate to WCS. Fourth Grade Special Education Paraprofessional – This full-time position provides 1:1, small group, and inclusion support, both academic and behavioral. The person in this role will collaborate with teachers to support the needs of all students. Qualified candidates will hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in education with specific course work in special education and/or experience working with students who have moderate to severe disabilities, especially Down Syndrome. High School Science/Mathematics Teacher – This full-time position is available beginning in the 2021/2022 school year. Courses taught may include PreCalculus, AP Calculus, and science courses which could include Project Lead the Way courses. Qualified candidates will hold a degree in education and be certified in his or her area of expertise. Technology background and prior teaching experience are preferred.
