Student-led chapels occur bi-weekly for the K-5 students. The Chapel Committee is comprised of students and teachers, working together to integrate our school theme into this time of worship and spiritual growth. Students enjoy the skits, Bible readings, and opportunities to lift their voices in praise to God.
Students in 4th and 5th grade participate in a three mile Fun Run. This event is a time for physical growth, along with an opportunity to encourage one another. 1st-3rd grade students participate in a “mini” one mile Fun Run and spend time cheering on their schoolmates in the upper grades.
This event is comprised of mixed grade level teams working together to compete in a variety of outdoor events. There are relay races, water events, obstacle courses, and a giant game of Capture the Flag. The main purpose is to encourage teamwork and to have fun!
Every other year the Elementary School puts on a musical. All students in K-5 participate in the chorus, with the 4th and 5th grade students assuming the acting and solo roles. The musical is chosen for its Christian message and we desire to reach our audience with the message of God’s love.
We celebrate Grandparents’ Day every other year in the Elementary School. Grandparents or special friends are invited to a short musical performance, followed by time spent in the student’s classroom. This day is well-loved by students and grandparents alike, as they enjoy spending time together in the school setting.
